Picture Perfect Green Walls for MDXO

On Sunday the 14th of May, mothers from across Melbourne came together with their families at the stunning MDXO event, organised by 38 Grace. Taking place at the Crown Towers Hotel in the Crown Aviary, this exclusive spot was Melbourne’s only rooftop event. It was created to celebrate mums and all they do with a beautiful spread of food, wine and giveaways. 

It also featured a boutique market, live music and a silent auction. This perfect day brought mums and their children together, as well as encouraging them to enjoy the day with other families who were attending. Aside from being a wonderful occasion to celebrate mums across Melbourne, this event also supported Safe Steps. This charity is Victoria’s Statewide first response service for women and children escaping family violence. 

How Designer Plants Helped

With such a wonderful event that celebrated mums as well supporting those at risk in our state, the team at 38 Grace needed some extra help with decorating the MDXO venue to make it extra special and give the rooftop an extra wow factor. 

Upon arrival, guests got to enjoy a photoshoot. As such, this beautiful occasion required an extra special feature for the entryway. Designer Plants stepped up to contribute a collection of artificial green walls to create a backdrop for the attendees while getting their photos taken. 

The team needed something that was lightweight, easy to set up and take down at the end of the day. We sent them panels for hanging the green walls on, as well as our Vista Green Panels with the addition of some of their own leaves. 

Not only did the green walls add a stunning backdrop for the family photos, they also added a softer touch to the rooftop for a beautifully botanical edge. The lush greens with delicate white blooms and pale pink foliage added the perfect ambiance and set the tone for the main event.
