Artificial Trees and Palms: Matching Form to the Room
This range sets broadleaf trees and tropical palms side by side so a whole room can be planned in one pass rather than two. It spans a 45cm mini palm that sits on a benchtop through to a 210cm Areca that holds a stairwell void on its own. Species run from Areca, Phoenix and Travellers palm to eucalyptus, lemon, wisteria and ficus, which covers the tropical and the temperate look in one place. Every piece arrives already potted, so the task is placement rather than assembly.
Heights and what each one suits
Stocked heights step through 45cm, 50cm, 55cm, 75cm, 90cm, 120cm, 135cm, 150cm, 180cm and 210cm. Anything at 120cm or below reads as a table or console piece, while 150cm and above reads as floor-standing and wants roughly 600mm of clear floor around the pot. Leave about 300mm between the top of the canopy and the ceiling so the tree does not look pressed against it.
Indoors, outdoors and covered positions
Products marked UV resistant carry UVTex inhibitors bonded within the leaf and hold their colour in a fully exposed position such as a courtyard or poolside. Untreated pieces belong in interiors and covered spaces: an atrium, a lift lobby, a roofed alfresco area. Where the position is open to the sky, start instead with outdoor artificial trees.
Narrowing it down
For a tropical silhouette go straight to palms; for a broadleaf or flowering look, artificial trees is the wider set. Pot swaps are common here, and the supplied nursery pot drops into most vessels in planters. A sizing question is usually quickest to settle on 1800 617 341.

What is the tallest artificial tree or palm in this range?
The 210cm Areca palm is the tallest standard piece here, followed by the 180cm Phoenix palm, ficus and wisteria. Where a taller specimen is needed for a void or a double-height entry, custom tall trees are built to a nominated height.
Are fake trees and artificial trees the same thing?
Yes. Fake tree, artificial tree and artificial plant all describe the same product, and the search term makes no difference to what is delivered. Designer Plants uses artificial throughout. What does matter on a tree of this size is leaf construction: a canopy built with RealTex variation reads differently at two metres from a moulded canopy where every leaf is identical.
Do artificial trees and palms come with a decorative pot?
It varies by product, and the individual product page states which applies. Several pieces in this range, including the Monstera Adansonii at 180cm, are supplied in a decorative pot; others come in a plain nursery pot sized to drop into a vessel from planters.
Which trees and palms in this range can be left outdoors?
Only the products marked UV resistant, which in this range includes the 50cm and 210cm Areca palms, the 135cm and 180cm Phoenix palms, the yucca grass at 75cm and 115cm, and the 180cm ficus. Those carry UVTex inhibitors bonded within the leaf. The eucalyptus, lemon and wisteria pieces are for interiors or roofed positions.
How is this range different from the palms collection?
This one deliberately mixes broadleaf trees with palms so a room can be planned in a single browse. Palms narrows to palm species alone and goes deeper into frond types such as Kentia, fishtail and fan palm that do not appear here. Use this range for a mixed scheme and that one when the look is specifically tropical.
How much floor space does a 180cm artificial tree need?
Allow roughly 600mm of clear floor around the pot for a 180cm piece so the lower branches are not pushed against a wall or a sofa arm. Multi-trunk forms such as the 180cm Parlour palm spread wider than single-trunk trees of the same height, so measure the canopy width on the product page rather than assuming height and width scale together.
How are artificial trees and palms cleaned?
Dust settles on the upper surface of the leaves, so a microfibre cloth over the top of the canopy every few months is enough indoors. Palms with fine fronds, such as the Areca, are quicker to do with a low-pressure hose outside than by hand. There is no watering, feeding or repotting.
What do artificial trees and palms cost?
The range runs from around $40 for a 50cm Areca palm to around $370 for a 180cm ficus, with most floor-standing pieces between $120 and $250. Height, leaf count and trunk construction drive the difference more than species, which is why a dense 180cm multi-trunk palm sits well above a single-trunk tree of the same height.
