Most indoor trees bring the same deep tropical green into a room. The Red Box Eucalyptus brings silver-green instead, on round coin-shaped leaves, which is why it works where a palm or a ficus looks out of place.
This is Eucalyptus polyanthemos at 150cm, supplied complete in its pot, built in LDPE with integrated RealTex foliage. The round leaf and the loose branching are the recognisable part, and they sit naturally alongside neutrals, timber, linen and coastal palettes.
A different colour note. Silver-green rather than deep green, which suits pale walls, warm timber and coastal interiors where a tropical palm fights the palette.
Australian character without the mess. A live gum indoors drops leaves and bark constantly. This one holds its foliage and needs no watering, light or repotting.
Pot included. Arrives potted and ready to place. It also drops inside most decorative planters if a more finished look is wanted.
Realistic where it counts. RealTex carries the silver bloom and colour variation through the leaf rather than printing it on, which is what a flat single-tone gum leaf gets wrong.

Setting it up
Arrives potted and ready to stand. Open the stems outward from the centre and stagger their heights so the silhouette is uneven, which is how a real gum grows. Resist fanning them into a symmetrical shape. Each stem holds its position once set.
Keeping it looking new
Dust the leaves with a dry cloth every few weeks. For a deeper clean, Eco Plant Cleaner and a microfibre cloth restore the silver-green finish without stripping it. Keeping it out of direct sun through a window protects the colour long term.

What makes the Red Box different from other artificial eucalyptus?
The leaf. Eucalyptus polyanthemos has a round, coin-like leaf with a silver-grey cast, quite different from the narrow sickle-shaped leaf most people picture. It is the form used in contemporary floristry and interior styling.
Can it go outside?
Only in a fully sheltered position out of direct sun. RealTex foliage is not UV rated and Australian sun will fade it. For balconies, courtyards and poolside positions, the UVTex outdoor range is built for it.
Is a pot included, or is one needed separately?
Included. The tree arrives potted and can be stood straight on the floor. A decorative planter can be added over the top for a more finished look, but it is not required.
How does it compare to the White Box Eucalyptus 110cm?
The White Box Eucalyptus Albens 110cm is shorter and paler, better on a surface or in a compact corner. The Red Box at 150cm is a floor tree with more presence and a rounder leaf. Both are indoor.
Is it safe around children and pets?
Yes. SafeTex certified materials, with no heavy metals or VOCs, and no pollen, sap or oils. Live eucalyptus foliage and oil are toxic to cats and dogs if chewed. This one is not.
