A Spring Transformation In Sydney

With the warmer weather in full swing, we’re also heading in to peak poolside days that’ll help beat the heat! One of our clients reached out wanting to transform their pool in time for summer. Read on to find out how we worked together to achieve this stunning result with a hedge screen. 

What we started with: 

Our client’s previous pool setup was covered in older timber and a struggling jasmine plant that wasn’t adequately covering the space. This pool also faces north, making the fence a hot spot in the warmer months which made it a challenging area to grow anything in. 

They wanted to switch the jasmine out for an artificial hedge screen option that could handle the heat and reached out to our team for ideas and support. After an initial chat, they’d mentioned wanting something primarily green, with limited or no florals. The two options they first considered were the Green Topics and Snowy White green walls. 

The planning and design process: 

After sending out three sample panels to get an idea of how they’d look, they revised their choice and switched to our incredibly popular Jasmine Hedge Screen panels instead. This beautiful option has an abundance of texture and plenty of variety in the leaves to give a truly natural look. 

To ensure the artificial green walls would stand the test of time, our client also asked about the UV Spray and whether it would be needed for their new garden wall. Our green wall panels are made with UV resistance built in and carry a 5 year guarantee. They’re designed to be resilient, even in high sun areas to resist fading and cracking making them an incredibly low maintenance option that’s still incredibly visually appealing. 

Install and final results: 

To create this look, the process involved a few steps. To start off with, all the old jasmine was removed to create a clearer space. Next, the supporting wall was extended and painted to create the perfect canvas for the artificial plant wall to hang on. Finally, the framework was installed to create this stunning pool-side backdrop. 

In total, this spacious area took 28 wall panels. Additional lighting was added for extra ambiance during those refreshing evening swims. Our client was thrilled with the result and now has a beautiful pool area that’s ready in time for summer.
