Hanging Designer Pots

A half moon or semi circle wall planter has a flat back that sits against the wall and a curved front that projects forward, giving a shallow planting cavity rather than a full round pot. The onyx black versions here come at 35cm and 45cm across the face. Because the profile is shallow, they suit corridors and stair landings where a standard pot would stand too far out.

The pots themselves are real containers, so neither word strictly applies to them, and the fake or artificial description belongs to the greenery that goes inside. Set the height so the rim sits a little below eye level, since a wall planter is designed to be looked into rather than up at. Chain pots need a different approach again, hanging from a rated hook fixed into a joist or beam overhead.

The pots are made for indoor or outdoor positions, and the 30cm chain pots in rustic white and grey are commonly used under pergolas and on verandahs. What determines whether the finished arrangement can go outside is the greenery inside it, which must state UV Resistant or UV Treated to hold its colour in direct sun.
