Ultra Realistic Artificial Plants
Designer Plants Five Key Technologies
The products in this range are fire-tested, and outdoor-rated items carry UVTex inhibitors bonded within the leaf rather than sprayed on. Where a brief carries a compliance requirement, confirm the specific requirement against the individual product.
Choosing from the Fire Tested Artificial Plant Range
Some briefs carry a compliance requirement that the greenery has to answer to, and that changes how the selection is made. This collection is the FireTex range: plants, stems, hanging garlands, baskets and vertical garden panels that are fire-tested. It spans small pieces such as 30cm stems from $6.95 and 20cm potted plants at $14.95, through to garlands around 75cm long and panels at 1m x 1m. Where a project carries a specific requirement, confirm it against the individual product before ordering.
What the range covers
Hanging garlands and vines make up the bulk of it, in eucalyptus, creeping fig, bamboo leaf, Boston fern, willow leaf and star jasmine, mostly 10cm to 27cm wide and 72cm to 94cm long at $29.95. Beyond those sit stems and small foliage from 25cm, including a cypress bush stem, 20cm potted plants such as buxus, jasmine and rosemary, hanging baskets to 135cm, and vertical garden panels at 90cm x 90cm and 1m x 1m.
Compliance-led briefs
The range is fire-tested, which is what allows it to be put forward where a brief carries a compliance requirement. The requirement itself varies by project, building use and authority, so it should be confirmed against the individual product rather than assumed from the collection as a whole. The FireTex page sets out what the range is.
Building coverage from small pieces
Garlands and vines are the practical way to green a bulkhead, a pergola frame or a shelf edge, because they follow a line rather than needing a flat face to fix to. For a solid green face, the 1m x 1m panels are the better starting point. Mixing two or three garland styles across a long run keeps a single leaf shape from repeating.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are fake plants a fire hazard?
Artificial greenery is a manufactured product and sits in a space alongside other soft furnishings, which is why some briefs set a requirement around it. The FireTex products in this collection are fire-tested for exactly that situation. What the requirement is varies from project to project, so confirm it against the individual product page, or call 1800 617 341.
What does fire-tested mean for these products?
It means the product has been through fire testing, which is why the range is the one put forward for compliance-led briefs. It does not tell you on its own whether a particular project requirement is satisfied, because that depends on the building, its use and the authority involved. Check the individual product and the FireTex page.
What sizes do the fire-tested hanging garlands come in?
Most sit between 10cm and 27cm wide and 72cm and 94cm long, at $29.95. The narrow lace fern at 10cm wide suits a tight bulkhead line, while the dense Boston fern at 27cm wide by 94cm long is the fullest of them. Longer trailing options run to 120cm in Spanish moss.
Are there fire-tested green wall panels in this collection?
Yes. Vertical garden panels appear here at 90cm x 90cm and 1m x 1m, from $199.95 up to $389.95, including a metal-backed option built for exposed positions. If the project is panel-led rather than plant-led, start at fire tested green walls instead.
Can these fire-tested plants be used outdoors?
Most of the range is UV resistant, and outdoor-rated products carry UVTex inhibitors bonded within the leaf material rather than sprayed onto the surface. Outdoor suitability is stated on each product page, so check it there before committing a garland or a 20cm potted plant to a fully exposed position.
What is the smallest piece in the fire-tested range?
Stems start at 25cm to 30cm from $6.95, covering bamboo leaf, boxwood, mediterranean and fern forms, with a 25cm cypress bush stem among them. Small potted plants at 20cm sit at $14.95. These are the pieces used to fill gaps in a display rather than to build coverage.
How is a fire-tested garland fixed in place?
Garlands hang from a hook or tie back to an existing structure rather than fixing to a flat face. Stainless steel S hooks at 12cm x 6cm and UV cable ties both suit, and both sit in accessories and install extras. Space the fixing points so the garland carries its own weight along the run.
How does this range compare with the fire tested green walls collection?
This collection is the loose greenery: stems, potted plants, baskets, garlands and vines, with a handful of panels. Fire tested green walls is the panel and disc range for covering a flat face. Projects often use panels on the main wall and garlands to soften bulkheads and edges around it.
