Ultra Realistic Artificial Plants
Designer Plants Five Key Technologies
UV Resistant Artificial Outdoor Plants – Engineered for Australian Sun
Australian sun is the hardest test an artificial plant faces. Standard greenery moved outdoors turns pale within a season, goes brittle at the leaf edge, and starts to read as plastic. This range exists because that failure is a material problem with a material solution.
Every specimen here carries UVTex inhibitors integrated within the leaf material itself, not sprayed onto the surface where weather strips them away. Combined with RealTex colour variation, the result holds its finish through summer after summer on balconies, courtyards, poolsides, alfresco areas, rooftops and entrances.
The range covers outdoor trees and palms, potted specimens, portable greenery and discs, and a recycled range for sustainability-led briefs, alongside a home-safe UV protection spray for extending the life of existing greenery.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes an artificial plant UV resistant?
UV inhibitors slow the breakdown of pigment and polymer under ultraviolet light. What matters is where they sit. Surface-applied coatings wash and weather off. UVTex inhibitors are integrated within the leaf material during manufacture, so they cannot be stripped away by rain or cleaning.
How long will UV resistant plants last outdoors?
UV-certified specimens are engineered to hold colour for years in direct Australian sun and are covered by an extended UV warranty against fade and material degradation. Lifespan varies with exposure, with full northern aspects the most demanding.
Can standard indoor plants be used outside?
Not recommended. Without integrated inhibitors they fade within a season and the leaf material becomes brittle. If existing greenery has to move outdoors, the home-safe UV protection spray slows the process, though it does not match a UV-certified specimen.
Are they suitable around pools?
Yes. Poolside is one of the most common applications, and the specimens tolerate splash, chlorine exposure and reflected heat. Rinsing occasionally with fresh water keeps salt and chlorine residue off the foliage.
Do they handle wind, rain and frost?
Rain causes no damage and helps keep foliage clean. Frost resistance holds on most outdoor specimens. In exposed or high-wind positions, weighting or securing the planter is worth doing regardless of specimen type.
How do I confirm a product is UV rated?
UV-certified specimens state UV Resistant or UV Treated explicitly in the product title. Anything without that wording is intended for interior use.
What maintenance is needed outdoors?
No watering, feeding or pruning. A rinse with a hose when dust or pollen builds up, and an occasional clean with the Eco-Home Safe cleaner, is the full routine.
